ZUENDLER

The installation "ZUENDLER" freely adapted from Macbeth by William Shakespear contains an interactive installation in virtual reality for acting visitors. Under the influence of King Twitter, the protagonists Mac and Android get caught up in a confusing political intrigue, which can be experienced in a 20-30 minute virtual production over VR glasses. Visitors are especially asked to deal with the question of what current politics means for each individual. The stages, which can be walked on interactively as actors, thus create a memory theatre of virtually experienced encounters with the respective protagonists and recorded messages that can be seen, heard and with which the visitors can interact. "ZUENDLER" offers a combination of theatre and virtual reality, installation and performance, based on a rewritten "Macbeth".  Through virtual reality, the audience becomes a player and experiences an ever-changing piece, depending on their gait. The option of VR allows symmedial access to the respective content - e.g. texts the protagonists speak - (hear) - when visiting the inner life of a character, thoughts can be seen (reading in word and image). The immersive, interactive and virtual space thus allows a wide range of reception possibilities.
